about

This song is dedicated to the memory of Lori Buckner, the mother of our two beautiful children, Mattie (age 8) and Ben (age 7). Lori passed away suddenly in January of 2013. She was 42 years old. We miss you mommy.

lyrics

Alone in my bed
The kids are tucked in
We sang the songs
The ones we always did

But its not the same
Its a dwindling star
My only sunshine
Its growing dark

Oh want you hold on to me
Be the ghost in my sleep
Slip inside a dream
Leave a little memory
To bring back the pain
Baby I need your ball and your chain
Tied on to me
Baby be the ghost in my sleep

I try to feel
I wish I could hurt
This emptiness is so much worse
I tried to cry but all I could do
Was sit in the silence and pray for you

Oh want you hold on to me
Be the ghost in my sleep
Slip inside a dream
Leave a little memory
To bring back the pain
Baby I need your ball and your chain
Tied on to me
Baby be the ghost in my sleep

Ahh want you be the ghost in my sleep

Thanks again to the hard work of Tim "TJ" Johnson, yet another of my creations was given life and just the right mix of sweetness and sadness.
